With over 70 years of experience designing, manufacturing, and installing, Fortin Ironworks fences last. Our fences are built with both residential and commercial application in mind giving more flexibility to you. We have a variety of styles to choose from, or customization available to create the perfect fit for your space.

Fortin Quality

Construction is the key to a long lasting fence, and at Fortin Ironworks, we take every step we can to provide you with a fence that is going to last. Every fence at Fortin is hand-crafted by our highly skilled fabricators using only the highest quality materials, ensuring each fence leaves with the highest quality Fortin standards we take pride in providing for our customers. Fortin quality is baked into the design too, as our fences are designed to maintain structural integrity over time. All components are fully welded, eliminating the need for fasteners that can loosen over time causing fences to feel flimsy and sag, providing you with a fence that is built to last. The panels may be either fastened or welded into support posts, depending on the installation. We take every opportunity to build fences that are going to last a lifetime.

Creating the Perfect Fit

It is critical to have a properly sized fence for your application. The base-styles shown in our fence pricing catalog are shown as 80″ wide panels, but we are able to embrace the uniqueness of every project. We can custom tailor any of our fence styles to the correct size and proportions required for your application.

A Quality Finish

Our standard finish, and our highest recommendation, is our powder coated finish. After construction, every piece of the fence is smoothed out to create a seamless structure, then sandblasted. From there we bake on our own semi-matte, black powder coat to create a strong, long lasting finish. If black isn’t what you’re looking for, we can help you find the color that will perfectly fit your project.

Materials are the Foundation

All of our products at Fortin Ironworks use only the best materials, and our fences are no exception. A fence made of steel is less likely to sag over time, giving you more security and peace of mind. Horizontal pieces are made of heavy gauge channel, but vertical pickets are up to you what material you desire – our standard choice is ½” solid square steel for fences up to 48”, or ¾” square tubing for fences over 48”. Our post styles vary from 2”-6” square tubing, as well as decorative split posts in several configurations. Many of our fence styles include hand forged scrolls or ornamentation, and to ensure quality in such applications, we only use solid material for those designs. If the style allows for it, we use ½” steel sheets to precision cut logos, initials, numbers, or anything else you can imagine to give it a one-of-a-kind look that will make your fence stand out.

Endless Customization

At Fortin, we are the manufacturer. All our fences are made to order and hand-crafted, giving you the ability to customize any of our available styles to fit your project. With our collection of base-styles, we can simply adjust proportions, or we can completely customize the design to correctly fit any application physically and aesthetically. Hand worked scrolls, precision cut logos, and fine details just scratch the surface of what our designers can adjust in order to make a truly one of a kind, custom fence. We can adjust our material selection to help fit inside a budget if you need, but still maintain our Fortin quality. The customization options are endless.
