Every drive gate at Fortin is hand-crafted by our highly skilled fabricators using only the highest quality materials, ensuring each gate leaves with the highest quality Fortin standards we take pride in providing for our customers. Fortin quality is baked into the design too, as our gates are designed with longevity in mind. All the components and frames are fully welded, eliminating the need for fasteners that can fail over time, providing you with a gate that is built to last. The gates are hung using a an adjustable system that allows for tweaks over time, extending its life far beyond what would normally be expected. Creating a Perfect Fit

When ordering a drive gate, the dimensions are critical to create the perfect fit. We will field measure when possible to make sure the gate is going to fit your exact specifications. In our Drive Gate Pricing Catalog each rail is depicted as 5’ x 14’, however, we can custom fit any of our styles to your specific dimensions and application. If your installation includes masonry columns, we will supply you with gate liner posts to be installed before the columns. Once the masonry is applied over the liner post, we can then come field measure.

A Quality Finish

Our standard finish, and our highest recommendation, is our powder coated finish. After construction, every piece of the gate is smoothed out to create a seamless structure, then sandblasted. From there we bake on our own semi-matte, black powder coat to create a strong, long lasting finish. If black isn’t what you’re looking for, we can help you find the color that will perfectly fit your project.

Materials are the Foundation

All of our products at Fortin Ironworks use only the best materials, and our drive gates are no exception. We use the highest quality steel to make every part of our gates. The frame is constructed using strong 1/8″ thick steel tubing and channel throughout, which is able to withstand the wear and tear a drive gate will go through in its lifespan. To hold up the weight, we use 3/16″ thick steel tubing for the posts, ensuring your gate won’t go anywhere and will stay rigid. In many of our styles, we include decorative ornamentation such as finials or decorative caps, and each piece is constructed using only solid material. If you desire, we have the ability to laser cut custom graphics into 1/2″ thick steel sheets that can be applied to your drive gate to give it a one-of-a-kind look that will make your gate stand out.
