Every gate at Fortin Ironworks is hand-crafted by our highlyskilled fabricators using only the highest quality materials, ensuring each fence leaves with the highest quality Fortin standards we take pride in providing for our customers. Fortin quality is baked into the design too, as our gates are designed to maintain structural integrity over time. All components are fully welded, eliminating the need for fasteners that can loosen over time, causing gates to feel flimsy and sag, providing you with a gate that is built to last. It is critical to have a properly sized gate for your application. The base styles shown in our walk gate pricing catalog are shown as 4’x4′, but we are able to embrace the uniqueness of every project. We can custom tailor any of our fence styles to the correct size and proportions required for your application. To do this, we field measure the site for the gate ensuring the correct measurements are taken. If your installation includes masonry columns, we will supply you with gate liner posts to be installed before the columns. Once the masonry is applied over the liner post, we can then field measure.

After construction, every piece of the gate is smoothed out to create a seamless structure, then sandblasted. Our standard finish is primer and black paint, however, there are many options. We have the ability to paint the gate to your preference, giving you more options. While our paint finish is sturdy, we strongly suggest upgrading to our own semi-matte, black powder coat which will create a stronger, long lasting finish.
